Aquila

Aquila is a minor character featured in Red Dead Redemption.

Background[]

Aquila is a heavily built man and ranch hand at Ridgewood Farm. He is naturally skeptical and cannot stand being proven wrong, though he is not above accepting the fact if pushed hard enough.

Interactions[]

Aquila is among the crowd for Nigel West Dickens' demonstration of his "miracle tonic". West Dickens brings out John Marston, who is temporarily working as his ringer, to perform "miraculous feats of strength" supposedly granted to him by drinking the elixir.

Aquila, unlike most others in the crowd, is skeptical towards the elixir and argues that John is faking his "miracles". He challenges John to shoot his hat out of the air. When John does so, Aquila becomes angry since the hat probably cost him a decent sum of money, and challenges John to a fistfight. Aquila is knocked down, but a friend picks him up and provokes him into challenging John to a gunfight. John swiftly outdraws and disarms Aquila.

John's ability to overcome any challenge Aquila throws at him convinces the crowd to buy large quantities of West Dickens' elixir. Aquila is seen joining the crowd near Dickens' table saying, "No harm in trying one bottle, I suppose", showing that he has also been convinced by John. His fate afterwards is unknown as he does not appear in any future missions or in Free Roam.
