Fur from a beaver, of very high value.

In-game description

Beaver Fur is an animal item found in Red Dead Redemption.

The player can sell Beaver fur to merchants for a very high value.

Note: prices listed on this page are based upon the player having neutral honor and playing the game on Normal difficulty. If the player has high honor, the selling price will be Increased by 50% everywhere except Thieves' Landing. Low Honor decreases selling price by 50% everywhere except Thieves' Landing. While playing the game on Hardcore difficulty, money is more scarce and the base, neutral honor price of each item will be slightly lower.

Mission Appearances

Collecting 5 Beaver Fur is a requirement to complete the Stranger side-mission "Deadalus and Son".

Beavers are found near running water in Tall Trees, particularly around the waterside lodge at Aurora Basin, or really close to the river in Great Plains at 8 o'clock in the morning. They can also be found between Tanner's Span and Montana Ford at the river crossing, and in the area north of Cochinay close to the riverside or close to Asker and bear claw camp.
