Chi Fung is a Chinese immigrant who makes a living as a treasure hunter in New Austin.

Red Dead RedemptionEdit
Chi Fung can sometimes be encountered by Marston in various parts of New Austin, usually near a road leading into town. During these events, his wagon will be under attack by bandits seeking to steal his supplies. If the player saves Fung, he will give Marston a treasure map as a gift of thanks before riding off on his horse.
In addition to this, Fung can also be spotted working in either El Matadero or the Pacific Union Railroad Camp.
Undead NightmareEdit
In Undead Nightmare, Chi Fung can sometimes be seen at a wilderness camp. If the player approaches, they will notice the area is littered with bones and what appears to be a severed human head, which Fung will pick up and begin to speak to as though it was his lover. If the player threatens Fung he will attack them with a Volcanic Pistol, and a search of his camp will reveal a Treasure Map hidden inside a wooden chest.

- Despite Fung saying that he will retire after Marston has saved his life, he can still be found later in the same situation, with his supply wagon under attack by bandits out in the desert.
- He can sometimes be seen speaking in Cantonese on the telephone inside the warehouse at the Pacific Union Railroad Camp.
- While lounging around in El Matadero, Chi Fung can sometimes be seen taking out a Repeater Carbine and inspecting it. However, if attacked he will never use the weapon to defend himself.
- Like most Chinese characters in the game, Chi Fung speaks in the Cantonese dialect of Chinese, hinting at his place of origin in Guangdong province.
- Chi Fung seems to bear a striking resemblance to Chu Fook.
