Feathers from a Chicken, of low value.

–In-game description

Chicken Feathers are an animal item found in Red Dead Redemption. They can be sold to merchants and are considered a low value item.

Note: prices listed on this page are based upon the player having neutral honor and playing the game on Normal difficulty. If the player has high honor, the selling price will be Increased by 50% everywhere except Thieves' Landing. Low Honor decreases selling price by 50% everywhere except Thieves' Landing. While playing the game on Hardcore difficulty, money is more scarce and the base, neutral honor price of each item will be slightly lower.

The player can obtain Chicken Feathers by killing chickens and then skinning them, but as they sell for low value, they are practically useless. If the character wants to kill livestock without getting in trouble with the law, then Chickens are the way to go. Chicken feathers can be obtained in certain nightwatch jobs in McFarlane's Ranch when you have to kill a coyote. One chicken can usually yield up to 4 feathers.

Mission AppearancesEdit

Chicken Feathers can be used to satisfy the 20 bird feathers required to complete the Stranger Side-mission "Deadalus and Son".
