–In-game description

The Dutch Warmblood is a horse and transport featured in Red Dead Redemption.

Description[]

It is a dark/black bay or brown horse with dapples. It has normal speed and a 2 star rating. Its base price is $250. It is most commonly used as a farm horse, with good stamina and strength. It should be noted that these horses may look significantly similar to the American Standardbred horse, especially at night (which is usually when American Standardbreds can be found). Make sure that you are able to distinguish between the two breeds.

Note: prices listed on this page are based upon the player having neutral honor and playing the game on Normal difficulty. If the player has high honor, the selling price will be Increased by 50% everywhere except Thieves' Landing. Low Honor decreases selling price by 50% everywhere except Thieves' Landing. While playing the game on Hardcore difficulty, money is more scarce and the base, neutral honor price of each item will be slightly lower.

Locations[]

The horses can be found close to Warthington Ranch, south of MacFarlane's Ranch.

Trivia[]

  • The Dutch Warmblood's presence in Red Dead Redemption is historically anachronistic, as this horse type wasn't bred until the 1960s, five decades after the time frame of Redemption.
  • Lucy, the horse Marston is tasked with retrieving in the Stranger side-mission "Who Are You to Judge?", is a Dutch Warmblood.
