Eva Cortes is a minor character and Stranger featured in Red Dead Redemption. She plays a part and gives the player the Stranger side-mission "Eva in Peril".

Cortes is an abused prostitute in Casa Madrugada who appeals to John Marston for help winning her freedom.
InteractionsEdit
When John first comes across Eva she is being beaten savagely by her pimp, Mario Alcalde. Marston is given the choice to buy her freedom or leave her to continue to be beaten. Upon buying her freedom Eva leaves the area, promising to become a nun at Las Hermanas.
Marston later visits the church to check up on Eva and finds out that Mario came back for her. The player goes to a nearby graveyard of Sepulcro to see Mario digging a grave for her. In the Journal it is revealed that Mario killed Eva in a drunken rage. Marston is forced to engage in a duel with Mario, to get his money back and exact revenge for the fate of Eva. The player is not allowed to disarm him in this duel.
TriviaEdit
- Curiously, an undead Eva isn't seen in the Undead Nightmare DLC pack, even though the graveyard she was buried in was featured in the mission "Mother Superior Blues".
