The Duck is a species of animal found in Red Dead Redemption 2. There are 2 subspecies; the Mallard duck & the Pekin duck.
Location[]
The duck can be found in virtually all locations except for Grizzlies West and New Austin. They seem to prefer waterways and are especially prolific in Bayou Nwa.
Hunting[]
To correctly hunt a 3 star duck you need to use the correct weapon & ammo.
- Use Arrow - Small Game with a bow to kill the duck.
Tips[]
Ducks, along with geese, are one of the quickest ways to obtain animal fat for crafting ammo, because they usualy spawn in large numbers and are easier to kill than bears or boars. Also, the feathers and game acquired alongside when looking for fat can render a good amount of cash and resources for the player.
