Josephine Byrd is a minor, deceased character featured in Red Dead Redemption.
Background
Josephine Byrd died on April 1, 1878 and was buried in the cemetery behind Coot's Chapel just outside Armadillo, New Austin. It is unknown when she was born or how old she was when she died, as there is no birth date or year listed on her cracked and broken tombstone. She may be related to Rufus Byrd.
Interactions
The player looks on while Seth Briars digs up her body and hides behind her tombstone during the opening cutscene of "Exhuming and Other Fine Hobbies" scavenging her long deceased body for valuables. It is unknown how she died, or if the body that Briars' appears with in later missions is hers.
Trivia
- Upon closer inspection of the Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare debut trailer, the viewer will see a blood stained tombstone of Josephine Byrd.
- On a strange note, she is wearing exactly the same pants as Seth, even with the rope around her waist like a belt.
