The Old Pistol is the first weapon to be acquired by the player in the game, and serves as the player's default weapon.
Acquisition
It is given to Red Harlow by his father Nate during the opening mission "Bull's Eye". Since Nate made the Scorpion Revolvers, he lets his son use his Old Pistol for target practice.
Sheriff Bartlett's Journal
Old Pistol is listed in Sheriff Bartlett's Journal on pages 26 - 27 under the Side Arms section. The pages are available from the beginning of the game and do not need to be unlocked.
