Liars and Cheats
achievement and trophy
|Description||In a full Multiplayer Poker game, beat the table when blinds are at maximum.|
|Downloadable content||Liars and Cheats|
If patient, this achievement/trophy is not as hard to attain as one might think. The player must have a full table (6 players total) and the game must last until the blinds have doubled 5 times (max). Obviously, the player has to know when to hold them, when to fold them, when to walk away, and when to run.
Tips and Tricks
- The blinds raise approximately every 5 minutes, which means the player will have to play for at a minimum of a half-hour. One safe strategy to buy some time is to hold off on making a decision on whether or not the player wants to bet or fold until the timer for the turn just about runs out. Not only will it help slow the game down, it has the dual benefit of making the other players impatient and rush their turns (or even quit the game, which means less players to worry about,) but it will also give the player more time to devise a strategy and really think about what the other players might have. Be careful though; after 30 seconds the player will automatically fold due to inactivity.
- It's been noticed that sometimes when it's down to one last player, they tend to start going all-in. This can obviously cut the game short if the player calls their bluff, or happen to have a better hand, so the player may have to just let them collect the pot if they don't have that many more chips left.
- A full table is only needed when the game first begins - if other players bust out or leave the game, the player can still acquire this achievement.
- The name of the achievement/trophy is a direct reference to one of the hooks of Lady Gaga's song, "Poker Face".
