Rattlesnake Hollow is a location featured in Red Dead Redemption in the Cholla Springs region of the New Austin territory. It includes several small caves in the south face of the Redemption Mountains west of Twin Rocks.


Not much is known about Rattlesnake Hollow apart from the fact that bounties hide out here and Marston will be tasked with hunting them down and bringing them alive or killing them.


There are relatively few animals found in Rattlesnake Hollow. The few that are there include:


This area consists mostly of steep hills and hollowed-out rocks. On searching the cave openings, one of them contains a chest with cash inside.


  • Despite the fact that it is named Rattlesnake Hollow, it contains very few rattlesnakes.
  • Near Rattlesnake Hollow is a campfire with no tent or NPCs in sight.
  • Sometimes, NPC's can be heard complaining about bandits up at Rattlesnake Hollow, and that someone should do something about them. They could be referring to the bounty targets that hide out here.
  • This is a great location to hunt cougars.
