I took out the lines about getting the schofield revolver early in both this and the unnamed woman page. It simply isn't true tested myself and with others.
There's a bullet point that states that cavalrymen issued the Schofield used clips, I assume they meant half or full moon clips that I believe weren't invented until 1917 for the Colt/S&W .45ACP revolvers. I've never seen any evidence of the existence of moonclips during the 1870-90s nor the modification required to make that possible (recessing the cylinder face to facilitate space for the clip, which would make nonclipped use of cartridges inconsistent at best). Perhaps the person who posted that assumed that the ejector required a clip as in the M1917 revolvers. I suggest it be proven with a source or removed. 188.8.131.52 22:16, September 2, 2011 (UTC)
- It's the third one down BTW. I am very interested in a source for that statement.
- "In-game, the Schofield revolver is reloaded manually, when it should use full moon clips as the cavalrymen it was designed for used."
