And we each got... fifteen dollars. Oh, and a quarter... don't forget the quarter!
Arthur Morgan splitting the money with Lenny and Dutch

Urban Pleasures is a mission in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Mission Overview[]

After receiving a tip from Angelo Bronte about a trolley station in Saint Denis holding a large amount of cash, Dutch, Arthur and Lenny meet to rob it.

Story[]

Arthur meets Dutch and Lenny in an alley across from the trolley station. Dutch explains that once they get enough money, he plans to have the gang go to either Australia or Tahiti for a better future. He says that he met with the captain of a ship who will take them to one these places if they pay him. Arthur seems doubtful about this, wondering where they will get enough money for a whole boat and a new home, prompting Dutch to point out the trolley station. He reminds Arthur that they don't have much time before the Pinkertons find them and that they need a lot of money, which the station should have.

Arthur, Dutch and Lenny put on their bandanas and enter the station, announcing the robbery. On Dutch's order, Arthur robs three people before forcing the clerk to unlock the safe. But instead of a large take, Arthur only finds a few dollars, just as Lenny sees a large number of armed police outside. Realizing they'd been set up by Bronte, Dutch quickly makes an escape plan, and the trio rush outside and jump aboard a passing trolley as it's moving. They gun down a multitude of police as they ride through the streets before Dutch tells Arthur to slow down the trolley. Arthur attempts to decrease its speed, but the brakes malfunction and the trolley goes off the rails, crashing on its side in the street.

Shaken, the three fight off more police and make their way through the streets until they come across a wagon. With Lenny driving, Dutch and Arthur kill all of the pursuing lawmen until they eventually escape Saint Denis.

The money is split, with Arthur remarking that the three of them each got $15 and a quarter. Dutch is outraged that Bronte set them up, especially since he did nothing wrong to him. He decides that the Saint Denis Bank is now their only hope of paying for their freedom. Lenny then leaves to take Dutch back to camp.

Gold Medal Objectives[]

  • Rob all the customers in the trolley station.
  • Kill 10 lawmen while on the trolley.
  • Prevent any lawmen jumping on the back of the wagon.
  • Shoot the dynamite Lenny throws.
  • Complete the mission without taking any health items.

Deaths[]

The mission will fail if the player:

  • Assaults, kills, or abandons Dutch or Lenny;
  • Allows Dutch or Lenny to be killed;
  • Kills the station clerk;
  • Alerts the law prematurely;
  • Destroys or disables the escape wagon;
  • Dies.

Trivia[]

  • This mission reuses several aspects from the bus chase level from Chapter 10 of Rockstar Games' 2012 video game Max Payne 3, such as Arthur standing on the moving trolley's boarding step to shoot down pursuing enemy forces with a sidearm, and the trolley eventually crashing.
  • This is the only job where the gang don't receive a share of the take. This is likely due to the minimal amount: $47.53.
  • Dutch appears to receive a concussion during this mission when the trolley crashes, which has led to fans debating whether this is linked to his increasing mental erratic behavior displayed later on in the game or not.
  • In the opening cutscene when discussing the future of the gang being in Tahiti, Arthur asks who lives there, to which Dutch replies "Tahitians", but mispronounces the word as "tah-HEE-tee-ins" when it should really be pronounced "tah-HEE-shuns".
  • Players will unavoidably lose Honor and stack up an amount of bounty in this mission as they need to rob some citizens in the station and kill a large number of lawmen during the escape.
  • This is the only mission where Arthur is required to kill Saint Denis lawmen.
  • After this mission, players will be able to remain in Dead Eye after firing if they do not have any targets tagged, though this is not much of an improvement as the player could simply have immediately re-entered Dead Eye after each shot before this mission.
  • If either Dutch or Lenny have their hats shot off during the escape, they will always regain them after blowing away the blockade on the bridge before completing the mission.
  • If followed after the mission, the wagon carrying Dutch and Lenny will disappear, and Lenny will be standing in the middle of the road, invulnerable to all harm, except fire bottles. When killed, his corpse will instantly disappear.
    • This mission warrants a $165 bounty regardless of how many lawmen Arthur kills. Interestingly if the player hasn't yet completed Bandit Challenge Rank 5, completing this mission will complete it even though the bounty amassed isn't the required amount ($250).
  • If the player kills any of the civilians in the mission, Lenny will react to it. Additionally, killing or knocking out the clerk will result in a scolding from Dutch.
  • While riding the wagon through Saint Denis, the trio will pass by Angelo Bronte's Mansion and two of his men will attempt to shoot at the player and company as they pass.
